Welcome to the culmination of years of study, passion, and practice! Here’s of bit of history and background…

My professional journey in bodywork started in high school as a multi-sport varsity athlete and student athletic trainer. The study of massage, anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise physiology has led me down a circuitous and diverse path ever since.

I graduated from a multi-disciplinary massage school in 2000 and was so fortunate to get a dream job with a top rated and world class spa in Las Vegas upon completion of my studies. The practical side of that job was exposure to all sorts of clientele- public figures in all realms of celebrity and sport, as well as those in search of a respite and relaxation. We also received in-house trainings related to the spa menu and educational opportunities given by industry leaders tailored to product lines, ingredients, as well as massage and energy techniques associated with our signature and specialized spa treatments.

Relocation to Northern California afforded another opportunity in an amazing destination resort and spa. I also worked with an established second generation local chiropractic office. This shift and addition gave me a more clinical knowledge and approach to bodywork.

The panhandle of Florida was the next stop and more training and education followed. It was back to massage school for a refresher and additional hours in Florida specific curriculum requirements, anatomy and physiology, facial massage, as well as others. During this time, I also embarked on a once in a lifetime trip to Northern Thailand, where I immersed myself in the culture and tradition of Thai Massage. The intensive study also deepened my understanding of the philosophies that guide acupuncture, acupressure, Shiatsu, and marma points of Ayurveda. There were also seminars in facial and body treatments, foot massage, herbal ball massage for the face and body, and identifying and using natural ingredients for use in skin and body treatment preparations.

During this time, I also added the complement of skincare to my training and education. It was an easy adjunct, as I have always been interested in the beauty industry, healthy aging, and using non-invasive and proven technologies and natural ingredients in skincare applications.

Florida beckoned again in 2009 and the location this time was Tampa. As I got re-acclimated, I became aware of Bowen therapy and  instantly fell in love with the work as a therapist and fast tracked through the curriculum to certification in 2011. I also took every opportunity and additional Bowen class to gain a better technical proficiency and understanding from peers and a variety of instructors. As of 2013, I have taken additional advanced level training and am part of a group of Associate Instructors studying to get full fledged instructor endorsement. Working with many athletes and individuals that are interested in maintaining their health, flexibility, and competitive edge has also steered me down the path of becoming a certified Yoga instructor. Completion of a 200 hour yoga teacher training was realized in March 2014 as have introductory and refresher courses in Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) and John Upledger’s amazing body of work known as CranialSacral Therapy (CST).

I remain committed and passionately focused in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the amazing artistry and complexity of the human body. It is my goal to empower and help clients look and feel their best, remain active, and optimize health, wellness and performance – at any age.
